The museum houses the most extensive collection of the campaign of the Russian general Alexander Suworow (1730-1800) in Switzerland in the years 1798 and 1799. The events are depicted from the perspective of the Napoleonic wars by means of numerous documents, finds, images and maps.
The house (Haus der Kunst) organises three exhibitions of contemporary art each year.
