Mort Alive

The project aims to protect the surfaces of glaciers in Switzerland and, if successful, worldwide in a sustainable way. The system of “meltwater recycling” could delay glacier melting. As long as there is snow on the ice, the glacier will not melt.

Two Swiss companies have developed the NESSy ZeroE, which stands for “New Energy-Efficient Snow System” (and Zero Emission). This machine ensures the production of artificial snow without electricity by meltwater, a jet pump, a sufficient amount of water pressure and this technology. In the current climatic conditions, the glacier would begin to grow again in ten-fifteen years.

The project combines science, technology, innovation and even music (Tango Glaciar and Swiss Ice Fiddlers).
