Parco Val Calanca
28 October 2020
The park in the canton of Graubünden is the smallest natural park in Switzerland and the only one in the Italian-speaking area. Wild and unspoiled nature merges with the centuries-old cultural landscape of agriculture and villages, including chapels and churches, arable terraces and their villages of Braggio and Landarenca, chestnut- and larch woods, wild animals (i.e. ibex, deer, chamois, golden eagle, grouse, and hazel grouse) and varied flora and rich birdlife.
With the exception of Braggio and Landarenca, the larger villages are located in the valley. (Source and further information: www.parcovalcalanca.swiss).
