Historical Museum Lucerne

The museum presents, collects and documents the cultural-historical heritage of the Canton of Lucerne and Central Switzerland (die Innerschweiz). About 3 000 objects cover the history of the arsenal (das alte Zeughaus), the Neolithic and Bronze Age, the Roman period, the city and canton of Lucerne, Middle Ages and archaeology, the saints and their worship, the lion monument (das Löwendenkmal), the (medieval) justice system, tourism in Lucerne and other themes. The information for this permanent exhibition is available in German or English on a tablet.
