The Eiger Express and the Männlichenbahn

The new cable cars (“Eiger Express” and Männlichenbahn) can transport 4000 guests per hour. The Eiger Express cable car has a capacity of 2,200 persons per hour for transporting passengers to the Eiger Glacier.

The Wengernal railway has existed since 1893 and runs from Grindelwald to Kleine Scheidegg, and on the other side, via Wengen to Lauterbrunnen.

Since 1912, the world-famous train has also run via the Kleine Scheidegg and the Eiger to the highest train station in Europe at the Jungfraujoch (3454 metres high).

The new railway tracks also connect the hiking routes between the mountains of Männlichen and Kleine Scheidegg, as well as on the north side of the Eiger.
