The Carillon of Sisikon
9 October 2019
On the occasion of the first day of Swiss chocolate, 12 September 2001, the Swiss chocolate manufacturers presented a carillon to the population. The carillon (Glockenspiel of Sisikon) is the largest in Switzerland and consists of 37 bells with the tones e1- e4 and a bronze weight of about 6 000 kg. Both chocolate and chimes stand for innovation and keeping up with the times, but also for tradition, enjoyment, quality compositions and a high level of craftsmanship. Various melodies are pre-programmed and can be played by anyone during the day. (Source and further information: www.chocosuisse.ch).
