The Jura Mountains park (387 km²) is located in the cantons of Bern and Neuchâtel in the triangle of the cities of Neuchâtel, La Chaux-de-Fonds, and Biel/Bienne. Mount Chasseral (1606 meters) is the park’s highest point and centre.
The park has 21 villages, 18 of which are in the canton of Bern and 3 in the canton of Neuchâtel.

The Chasseral
The park features a diverse range of landscape elements, including peat bogs, rocky cliffs, forests, and meadows. The villages and towns are characterised by agriculture and industry.
The park is also the (border) region of two cultures and languages: German and French-speaking Switzerland, industry and crafts, and urban and rural communities.
