The Organisation of the Swiss Abroad, SwissCommunity, is committed to preserving the connection between Switzerland and its citizens living abroad.

SwissCommunity supports Swiss people with regards to cross-border mobility and promotes exchange between the country and its diaspora. It represents the interests of Swiss citizens living abroad vis-à-vis the Swiss authorities and the public at home. The mouthpiece of the Swiss diaspora is the Council of the Swiss Abroad, which is elected by the Swiss communities abroad.

It informs abroad about important events and developments in Switzerland and supplies those living abroad who are eligible to vote with the basic information they need to exercise their political rights in Switzerland.

and the organisation advises about issues related to emigration, staying abroad and returning to Switzerland. Together with partner organisations, SwissCommunity also provides a wide range of services.
