The collection of the museum houses the biggest collection of Viennese Modernism outside Austria, besides German painters from this period, for example works by Oskar Kokoschka, the landscape paintings of Gustave Klimt and Egon Schiele, the Tunis aquarel by Paul Klee, the only known self portrait of Oskar Schlemmer or the collage of Kurt Schwitters, and many others. Contemporary international and Swiss (surrealistic) art are also on shown. Kunsthaus Zug mobil is a unique project, showing in small containers works across the country.
