The museum (Musée d’art et d’histoire) presents the rich history of the city and the canton, as well as objects and images in four departments: visual arts, history, applied arts, and numismatics.
The collections cover a period from antiquity to the present day: musical instruments and furniture, medals and tools, coins, paintings, portraits, sculptures, textiles, views of the city and the canton, drawings, prints, watches, clocks and goldsmiths, ceramics and glass, posters from the chocolate company Suchard and other collections.
