The museum’s collections contain many objects related to daily life, the particular origin of the present city, and the role of watchmaking. The best-represented periods are the 19th century and the first quarter of the 20th century. The permanent exhibition focuses on the history of La Chaux-de-Fonds, its planning, and its most famous citizen, Le Corbusier, better known as Jean-Édouard Jeaneret (1887-1965).
