The museum presents numerous objects from the history of the Laufen Valley, prehistoric, Roman and medieval finds, and objects from the stonemasonry, which was so important for this valley. Archaeology occupies an important place in the museum, with particular attention to prehistory and Roman times. The museum also displays a large collection of fossils from the region and a collection of (historical) photographs about the region.
