The museum (Musée jurassien d’art et d’histoire) presents Roman and medieval treasures from the region, (wooden) sculptures, paintings, ivory, goldsmithery. Romanesque art is presented as well. The museum further highlights the regional archaeology, history and culture of the Jura, the youngest Swiss canton. Historic objects, documents, industry, documents, maps and everyday life are on display or available for research purposes. The fine arts department presents (early) modern and contemporary paintings.
