The museum (Centre International de la Mécanique d’Art) in the capital of music boxes shows the fascinating world of cylinder music boxes, disc music ( ancestor to the jukebox), orchestrions and mechanical pianos, street organs, singing birds and the famous “station musix boxes” with their dancing dolls. The machine “Pushkin” can also be seen, the first machine to write random haikus. The big novelty is that you never know which poem the machine will write. The museum also presents the industrial past and present of Sainte-Croix.
