Bourbaki Panorama

The theme of the panorama of 112 by 10 meters is the Franco-Prussian War of 1870/71, the defeat of the French Army and the surrender to the neutral Swiss Army when the Bourbaki Army had crossed the border at Les Verrières (canton Neuchâtel) in February 1871.

The architect Jacques Elysee Goss designed the building for the panorama.

Edouard Castres painted the panorama, which was originally in Geneva, but moved to Lucerne.
