Centrepoint Basel is a long-standing international and Swiss community centre that has flourished since 1995. The organisation is operated by volunteers, offering a feeling of connection to Centrepoint, the Basel area and Switzerland. Its facility is situated in the historical centre and is easily accessible for members to engage in various activities and social gatherings.
What Centrepoint offers
Centrepoint is created by its members for their fellow members and provides the chance to participate in frequent community events, activity groups (e.g., bridge, reading, photography, cooking, hiking), foreign and (Basel) German language courses, art vernissages, and conversations, discussions on topical issues, lectures, presentations, tours, and excursions.
Centrepoint also offers its members the periodic newsletter Horizon, an English-language library, and benefits and discounts at several local businesses. In conclusion, it provides the opportunity to form friendships, create a social network with Swiss and foreigners, and participate in many activities.
The Network
Centrepoint collaborates with various partners, including the International School Basel (ISB), GGG Stadtbibliothek Basel, the Canton and City of Basel, and Basel Expat Expo, to motivate and support members in connecting and flourishing in the Basel area and Switzerland.
