Museum Swiss Abroad

The Museum for the History of the Swiss Abroad (Musée des Suisses dans le Monde), housed in the Penthes Castle, aims to study and publicize the history of relations between Switzerland and the world, especially through the life and works of Swiss people who made their own unique mark on the time in which they lived. The Foundation has therefore established the Institute and Museum of the Swiss Abroad and the Edouard Marcel Sandoz Centre for Research and Documentation. The Sandoz Research Centre is named after the figure and animal sculptor Edouard Marcel Sandoz (1881-1971). The Sandoz Research Centre is composed of archives and documentation on the theme of  the exchanges between Switzerland and the world.
