Historical Museum Porrentruy

The museum (Musée de l’Hôtel-Dieu) in a baroque building from the eighteenth century exhibits the history and culture of the Jura region. It used to be a hospital and the ancient pharmacy is on display as well. Other items include among others Gothic and Baroque art, a collection photographs, books and other manuscripts. The building also belonged to the Bishop of Basel for a while and many objects are on display. Temporary exhibitions deal with cultural, historical and social topics of the Jura region.
