The volumes in the series Die Kunstdenkmäler der Schweiz, KdS (Swiss Monuments of Art), published by the Gesellschaft für Schweizerische Kunstgeschichte, GSK (Swiss Society for Art History), have been an important reference for the history of Swiss art and architecture for 92 years. As many as 65 000 pages and 65 000 illustrations have been produced over the past 92 years. These will be available free of charge as part of the KdS-online project, which can be found at www.ekds.ch. The project is not limited to scanning the pages and illustrations that have already been published. The content is also accessible via all the usual search engines. Digitisation will be completed by 2027, the 100th anniversary of the series. With KdS-online, the GSK is taking a new step in the digital progress it began ten years ago with interactive e-books, the 3D-project 360° Swiss Heritage, the apps Swiss Art To Go and Europe Art To Go (Further information: www.gsk.ch).
