Einstein in Bern
23 December 2019
Albert Einstein (1879–1955) was living in Bern when his theory of relativity turned the perceptions of space and time upside down. The exhibition space in the Einstein Museum offers an account of the life of the physicist. Some 550 original objects and replicas, 70 films and numerous animations outline the biography of the genius and his ground-breaking discoveries while illustrating the history of his time just before and after the First World War.
The long-term consequences of his scientific contributions and discoveries are also discussed. The museum is located in the building of the Historical Museum in Bern. You can also visit the Einstein House (www.einstein-bern.ch) in the historical centre of Bern, where he lived for several years. (Source and further information: www.bhm.ch).
